Company Overview

Established in 1972, American Community School Abu Dhabi is a non-profit, U.S.-accredited college preparatory school serving approximately 1,315 students from more than 80 countries, KG1 through Grade 12. Following its relocation to a purpose-built campus on Saadiyat Island, the school needed a modern finance platform connected to its academic systems rather than running in parallel to them.

What We Did

Azdan implemented full finance and accounting on NetSuite, covering general ledger, accounts payable, receivables, banking, and budgeting, designed around the needs of a non-profit educational institution, including fund-oriented reporting and clear visibility for the Board and school leadership.

We configured tuition and fee management workflows so student billing, payment plans, and collections are handled systematically in NetSuite, giving the business office one place to manage the school's primary revenue stream across the full academic year cycle.

The defining piece of the project was the integration with Veracross, the school's Student Information System. Student and family records, enrollment data, and billing triggers flow from Veracross into NetSuite automatically, eliminating dual data entry between the academic and finance offices and keeping both systems permanently in sync.

Beyond the integration, we built reporting for school leadership: budget vs. actuals by department, enrollment-linked revenue views, and audit-ready financials appropriate for a non-profit governed by a Board of Trustees.
