United Motors Group is one of Saudi Arabia’s most established automotive organisations — operating since 1986 as the exclusive Kia dealer across seven western provinces, the nationwide JETOUR representative, and the parent company of a growing aftersales network and a licensed financing subsidiary. Across its brands and business lines, UMG processes high transaction volumes, manages multi-entity financials, and operates in a regulatory environment that demands rigorous compliance. What it lacked was a single, structured layer for financial performance management across the group.

Performance Without Consolidation

With multiple subsidiaries operating across vehicle sales, aftersales services, and financing, UMG’s finance teams were managing planning, budgeting, and close processes in silos. Consolidating results across entities was time-consuming and error-prone. Corporate tax reporting, narrative reporting, and profitability analysis required significant manual effort to produce — and rarely delivered the real-time visibility leadership needed to make confident decisions.

At the same time, ZATCA’s e-invoicing mandate introduced a compliance obligation that the organisation needed to meet at scale, across its full invoicing volume and subsidiary structure.

What We Did

Azdan implemented Oracle Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) to give UMG a unified financial intelligence layer across its group, covering:

  • Planning and Budgeting — driver-based financial planning and scenario modelling aligned to UMG’s multi-entity structure.
  • Account Reconciliation — automated reconciliation processes replacing manual matching across entities.
  • Close Management and Consolidation — structured financial close orchestration with intercompany eliminations and group-level consolidation.
  • Corporate Tax Reporting — tax calculation and reporting aligned with Saudi regulatory requirements.
  • Narrative Reporting — management reporting combining financial data and commentary for board and leadership use.
  • Profitability and Cost Management — granular visibility into margin and cost performance by brand, business line, and region.

ZATCA e-invoicing compliance was enabled natively inside NetSuite — ensuring full regulatory adherence across UMG’s invoice volumes without middleware or third-party tools.

A Single View Across the Group

UMG’s finance function moved from fragmented, entity-by-entity reporting to a consolidated, real-time view of group performance. Financial close cycles shortened significantly. Planning and budgeting shifted from spreadsheet-driven processes to a structured, driver-based model that leadership could actually use for decision-making. And with profitability analysis embedded across brands and business lines, the CFO’s office gained the kind of visibility that a $750M automotive group demands.

The ongoing managed support relationship with Azdan ensures the platform continues to evolve alongside UMG’s growing portfolio.
