Field Operations and Job Management
A field job connects the farming request to operations execution and production inspection. Labour, equipment and materials remain assigned to the logical land throughout the job, including any rework. This is the control that keeps the cost of a failed operation visible against the crop.
Before you begin
Have the work specification, crop, logical land, planned week and assigned equipment available. The inspected board and job panel provide a review trail; job-entry and approval forms are outside this guide.
Navigation: Top-right screen dropdown → Field Job Board.
Procedure
- Filter the board by the state that needs attention, such as Requested by farming, Awaiting field inspection or REDO ordered.
- Find the job by crop, logical land, activity and week.
- Open the job row and read the two-team trail.
- Check the request, operations acceptance, execution, inspection and outcome in order. Read the note and responsible team at each stage.
- For rework, confirm the inspection reason and re-queued activity. The additional resource cost should remain associated with the same crop and land.
- Return to Season Plan to assess the timing impact and agree the next action with the operations supervisor or production manager.
Responsibilities and follow-up
The farming team can establish whether the job met the specification, while finance can explain the associated resource cost. JOB-001 illustrates how rework remains on P061-26 rather than being transferred to a general overhead pool.
Example: JOB-001
| Stage | Week | Evidence |
|---|---|---|
| Requested | 23 | Farming raised land preparation on P061-26 |
| Accepted | 23 | Operations assigned crew and TRC-02 |
| Executing | 24 | Hours and materials carry P061-26 |
| Field inspection | 24 | Production manager checked the specification |
| REDO ordered | 24 | Work did not meet the specification |
| Re-queued | 25 | Additional cost remains on the same crop and land |
Important notes
“Accepted” in the trail can mean that operations accepted the request. It is not necessarily final inspection acceptance. Use the full sequence and the board status together. The inspected detail panel did not expose job-editing or approval controls.
