Orchard Block Health and Replant Planning
Orchard performance needs to be assessed over several seasons. This screen compares block age, yield, Class 1 pack-out and remaining book life so that agronomy and finance can review a replant candidate on the same basis.
Before you begin
Confirm the crop and block. Separate growing blocks from bearing blocks with comparable harvest history. Have the yield, quality and asset records available for any flagged block.
Navigation: Top-right screen dropdown → Orchard Block Health & Replant.
Procedure
- Review bearing hectares, growing blocks and declining-block counts for the selected crop.
- Find the flagged block in the register.
- Select its row and compare the three-season yield and pack-out trend.
- Read the proposed replant case alongside age and remaining book life.
- Ask agronomy to establish the cause of decline and finance to confirm carrying value and depreciation assumptions.
- Submit the reviewed case through the company’s investment process. Use Accounting Impact for the illustrated bearer-plant relationship.
Responsibilities and follow-up
A replant proposal should explain the performance issue, the operational options and the remaining asset value. The flag starts that review; it does not settle the decision.
Example: B107
The peach example flags B107 after three declining seasons, with yield down approximately 22.03%, falling pack-out and three years of book life remaining. The register shows a three-hectare block aged nine years. The screen proposes raising a replant case; the business still needs to examine the causes and approve any resulting investment.
Important notes
No history yet is expected for a growing block and should not be treated as poor performance. Remaining book life is an accounting measure, not an agronomic replacement deadline. Confirm accounting treatment under the implementation’s approved policies.
