Parcel History and Crop Rotation
The physical parcel is the permanent land record. Its logical land identifies a particular crop season. P001, for example, remains the same parcel, while P001-26 carries the crop, cost and yield for 2026. This structure preserves rotation history without mixing one season’s costs with another’s.
Before you begin
Confirm the physical parcel, logical land and reporting period. Use completed seasons for yield and cost comparisons; current-season allocations are still accumulating.
Navigation: Top-right screen dropdown → Parcel Record · 35 Seasons.
Procedure
- Open the parcel from the map or the parcel shortcut. Check area, hectares, soil and supplying well.
- Confirm the current crop and logical land. P001-26 is Wheat over 55 hectares.
- Read the season history, including fallow years. These are part of the rotation record.
- Compare cost per hectare and yield per hectare for completed seasons. Check crop changes and operational conditions before drawing a conclusion.
- Review the current cost elements and planned versus actual activity weeks. Follow an unusual cost into Cost Drill-Down.
- Check the next-season rotation verdict before proposing a crop. The P001 example blocks consecutive Wheat and lists Potato, Onion and Alfalfa as allowed.
Responsibilities and follow-up
The parcel review gives the planner a history of crop choice, land use and performance, together with the current cost position. Retain the logical-land reference when discussing any seasonal variance.
Example: P001
| Item | Example value | Business meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Current logical land | P001-26 | Cost is attached to the 2026 wheat season |
| Allocated so far | SAR 32,594 | Current July allocation, not a completed annual cost |
| Cost per hectare | SAR 593 | Current allocated cost spread across 55 hectares |
| 2025 | Fallow | An explicit resting year |
| 2024 Wheat | SAR 4,756/ha; 6.2 t/ha | A completed historical comparison |
| Current harvest | Not yet harvested | Do not calculate a completed-season margin from this row |
Important notes
A fallow row is not a zero-yield crop season. Likewise, “not yet harvested” is not a yield failure. Rotation verdicts reflect configured rules; an allowed crop still requires agronomic, water and commercial approval under your planning process.
