Agriculture Lot Traceability and Recall Management
Lot traceability starts with a specific lot number. From that reference, the screen identifies the originating block and inputs, then the packed products and customer deliveries. The mass balance checks whether the recorded quantities account for the harvested weight.
Before you begin
Confirm the exact lot and investigation period. Establish who owns the investigation and follow the company’s process for quarantine, customer contact and recall decisions. Reviewing this screen does not place stock on hold or notify customers.
Navigation: Top-right screen dropdown → Traceability & Recall.
Procedure
- Select the lot in the toolbar. The example uses LOT-PCH-0714, harvested on 14 July 2026.
- Under Backward: to the field, confirm the block and supporting harvest, chemical, fertiliser and packaging references.
- Under Forward: to every customer, identify the SKUs, delivery notes, customers, trucks and quantities.
- Review the mass-balance row, including packed, dispatched, stock, rejects, spoilage, loose quantity and gap.
- Resolve missing links or an unexplained gap with the team responsible for the source record.
- Retain the affected lot and delivery list, reconciliation and review outcome in the company’s incident or drill record.
Responsibilities and follow-up
Quality and logistics have the source references and delivery population needed to assess the incident. The responsible manager can then authorise the next action through the company’s recall procedure.
Lot mass balance
| Lot | Reconciliation from the displayed rows |
|---|---|
| Peaches | 42,000 = 27,700 packed + 3,000 rejects + 1,500 spoiled + 9,800 loose |
| Potato | 380,000 = 320,000 packed + 14,000 rejects + 6,000 spoiled + 40,000 loose |
| Potato packed quantity | 320,000 = 200,000 dispatched + 120,000 in stock |
For the peach example, the three delivery quantities total 27,700 kg. The same lot is represented as 3,000 packs of PCH-6KG and 970 packs of PCH-10KG. Keep the pack size and kilogram quantity together when checking delivery totals.
Important notes
The 47-minute drill time and Produced record status are example results, not evidence of a new recall test or certification. Avoid double-counting in the mass balance: packed quantity already includes dispatched stock and stock on hand. The external standard cited on the screen does not establish compliance by itself.
