Agricultural Water Management and Crop Productivity
Water Management combines well-level control with crop productivity. The well register highlights cap and expiry exceptions; the crop analysis supports planning discussions about the return from a limited water resource. Read the time basis carefully before comparing either set of figures.
Before you begin
Confirm the reporting month, the whole-season planning assumptions and the recorded licence terms. The cap and expiry data must reflect the requirements applicable to the farm.
Navigation: Top-right screen dropdown → Water, Licence & Crop Mix.
Procedure
- Review the number of wells over the pro-rata cap and licences approaching expiry.
- Read the basis stated above the crop productivity table: whole-season water norms, plan-based revenue and season-to-date cost.
- Compare kilograms and margin per cubic metre, alongside margin per hectare.
- Review each exception in the well register against its annual cap, metered abstraction, headroom and licence date.
- Assign meter discrepancies, cap exceptions and renewals to the irrigation or compliance owner.
- Take the reviewed water assumptions into the season-planning discussion with crop suitability and market demand.
Responsibilities and follow-up
The irrigation team has a defined exception list, and the planning team can compare crops using an explicit water and revenue basis.
Keep the time basis visible
| Display | Basis in the inspected screen |
|---|---|
| Metered water | 5,680,833 m³ for July 2026 |
| Crop productivity water | Whole-season crop norms |
| Revenue used in productivity | Planted hectares × expected yield × budget price |
| Cost used in productivity | Season-to-date allocation output |
| Licence cap | Annual amount, with a pro-rata comparison |
| Crop restriction scenario | Jurisdiction-specific demonstration requiring local confirmation |
Important notes
The screen contains Saudi-specific licence and restriction examples. Confirm their applicability and current requirements locally; this guide does not validate those legal assertions. A Submitted label is not proof of an electronic regulator connection. Plan-based revenue less season-to-date cost should not be presented as realised crop profit.
