Reviewing customer statements and overdue installments

A customer statement brings contract obligations, collections, overdue amounts, and cheque information together for collection follow-up. Always interpret the figures as of the statement date.

Navigation: Launch page > Collections & PDC > Customer statement.

Before you begin

Confirm the customer, contract or unit, statement date, and currency. Use the same reporting basis when comparing the statement with other reports.

Procedure

  1. Select the correct customer and contract context and review the as-of date.
  2. Compare contract value, collected amount, due to date, overdue amount, PDCs in custody, and maintenance at handover.
  3. Review the payment schedule and identify overdue, future, and separately charged obligations.
  4. Follow related receipt and cheque information to explain differences. Check for unapplied receipts, bounced cheques, adjustments, and pending postings.
  5. Reconcile the statement before printing or sharing it. Include the relevant date and configured statement disclaimer.

Result

The collections team can explain what is due, what has been received, and which items require follow-up.

Important

PDC custody is not cleared collection. Separate maintenance or service charges may not be included in the selling price. The illustrated statement is a demo example; its accounting mode and amounts should not be generalized to other companies.
