Property Management

Reviewing move out charges and property turnaround

A move-out request coordinates the tenant's exit, checklist, charges, and any maintenance work needed before the property is ready for the next occupant.

Navigation: Property Management > Move In/Out > Move Out Request.

Before you begin

Confirm the termination or lease reference, tenant, unit, expected move date, inspection requirements, and settlement responsibilities.

Procedure

  1. Open the request and compare its lease and termination references with the tenant and unit.
  2. Review planned move details and any required mover, access, or security-deposit information.
  3. Open Checklist and confirm the required exit tasks and evidence. Record inspection findings through the approved process.
  4. Open Charges and review charge items, type, quantity, rate, amount, and related lease charge references where populated.
  5. Where repair or turnaround work is required, review existing work orders before using Create WO. Confirm the resulting work order points to the correct property, unit, and move-out request.
  6. After authorized charge processing, verify related invoices or credit memos, deposit treatment, completion of tasks, and the unit's operational readiness.

Result

The tenancy exit is linked to settlement and any property maintenance required for re-letting.

Important

Generate Charges and Post Charges are distinct controls. Do not assume a generated charge is posted. An empty charge list does not establish that no settlement is required; verify the inspection and agreement first.

Review linked move-out billing documents. Review the invoice and credit memo references associated with the move-out record. A linked document alone does not confirm that all move-out approvals are complete.
