Property Management
Reviewing lease termination and settlement dates
A lease termination records the end of a tenancy arrangement, including notice, termination, and expected move-out dates. Settlement depends on the agreement and configured calculation rules.
Navigation: Property Management > Lease Management > Lease Termination.
Before you begin
Confirm the lease, notice, requested end date, existing lease end date, reason, rental balance, deposit, and company-approved settlement rules.
Procedure
- Open the termination and verify its lease reference, status, and type.
- Compare Notice Date, Termination Date, Lease End Date, and Expected Move Out. These dates can differ and serve different purposes.
- Review the property and unit against the source lease and related move-out request.
- Review grace duration, grace policy, rate basis, annual value, and daily rate where used. Reconcile the calculation with the applicable agreement.
- Follow the resulting move-out request and financial records. Verify that the settlement, occupancy change, and return of access are completed through their respective processes.
Result
The tenancy exit has a clear commercial date basis and a link to the operational move-out process.
Important
A Processed termination does not prove that the tenant has physically moved out or that the deposit has been refunded. The illustrated account supports a configured day-count basis; do not assume one basis is valid for every lease.
